Presbyterian worship is prescribed. While local congregation will differ in their style and order of content, certain elements are always present. Prayers of thanksgiving, intercession (praying for the needs of others), Supplication (praying for our needs), and there is always a confession of our sin followed an assurance of God's saving grace and forgiveness. We use written prayers, silent prayer, pastoral lead prayer, and prayer in songs. There is always and reading of God's Word, this is a biblical pattern we honor. We also confess our faith using summaries of cardinal doctrines like the Apostles' Creed, biblcal creeds, and portions of historic confessions of faith.
